How to Tame your beast

On Friday we watched Mojo show how he calmed his beast when he experiences a powerful emotion. We talked about how everyone has a beast/monster that may come out when they are feeling sad, angry, anxious, nervous tired or hurt. We shared with our buddies about a time when our beast came out and what happened.  We watched a video that showed how Mojo calms his beast by breathing.

Mindful breathing with Mojo

We drew our beasts:

My beast comes out when I faint and am worried.

My beast comes out when I'm nervous.

My beast comes out when I'm frustrated.

My beast comes out when I'm angry.

My beast comes out when I am hurt.

My beast comes out when I am angry or when I get hurt.

My beast comes out when I'm really angry.

My beast comes out when I am sad.

My beast comes out when I'm angry.

We are learning to tame our beasts by doing deep tummy breaths.
