The Dot

On Tuesday we enjoyed reading The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

The book is about Vashti who discovers her artist talent after struggling with her confidence. She then uses what she learned to help other be more confident.

We then had a go at making our own ''dot'' picture. We used dye, vivid, watercolors, felt pens and crayons. We got to decide what we wanted our picture to look like and what materials we wanted to use.

Swimming

We have enjoyed our time in the water over the past few weeks.

We have become more confident in the water. It has been cool to use our goggles to see under the water and blow bubbles!

Some of us have been practicing floating on our back and using the board to help us float.

We loved making a splash!!

Giraffes - Fantastic Fungi

The Giraffes reading group has loved learning about different Fungi this week.

We have learned lots of new information from the book.

Today during reading we decided to draw some of our favorite fungi from the book. We talked about the interesting colour, shapes and textures that we could see in the pictures.

Happy Diwali

Our big book this week was called Diwali.

Diwali is the Indian Festival of light and is celebrated during late October or early November. It celebrates the beginning of the Indian new year. We made happy Diwali cards and drew rongoli patterns to celebrate Diwali this week.

We were excited getting the new connex today

We are trying really hard to look after our equipment and make sure we don't take it outside
