Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP)

We have been having heaps of fun challenging ourselves during PMP.

PMP  improves fitness, balance, hand-eye coordination, gross motor skills, and self-confidence. The program also seeks to build an understanding of spatial concepts such as in, on, under, over, through, behind, in front of, and between.

"PMP is different because it aims to develop the child rather than the skill. It is not purely a motor programme. It is a perceptual motor programme where language is the key factor in providing the perceptual knowledge about the motor experience. The programme has its roots in the development of language, the gaining of problem-solving skills, and general readiness areas." from the Moving Smart Website - Jill Connell, Founder of Moving Smart

Thank you to the wonderful parent helps that are coming each week to support all the children with this programme.
