The Takahe Reading Group Shared a Play and the Leopards Performed a Song

The Takahe reading group performed a play called The Little Red Hen.

Ti Kouka gave them some compliments and said that they used clear voices and did a great job of reading all their parts.

The Leopards read the Sadie Spider book during reading time. There was a song at the back that they shared with us. We loved the actions that they used.

Open Door Friday

Today we were all very busy during Open Door Friday.

We had a dance party in the blue room. It was lots of fun showing off our best moves.

We had some board games out. 

We got creative in the wet room.

And we had fun playing with blocks and construction kits

We Made Pikelets

Today Catherine helped us make pikelets.

We helped to measure the ingredients, do the stirring, cook them and most importantly eat them.

The teachers gave us 5 out of 5 for our baking!

Calendar Art

This week we did our art for the PTA calendar art fundraiser. This year we have done monsters.

On Tuesday morning we made are backgrounds using sponges and paint. We also practised drawing some simple monster shapes on our whiteboards.

On Thursday morning we made our monsters. We drew a simple shape on colour paper and then cut it out. We then used Vivids to add on the detail. 

              

 

 

We are really proud of our finished artwork. 

These will be displayed in the studio from next week. The PTA will be sending out order forms in the coming weeks.
